Uncharted Roads follows Mussi, a disgraced immigrant father in Britain who, after losing his job and home, hides the truth from his young son Vicky by inventing a road trip. What begins as an adventure slowly reveals itself as an act of survival, each mile exposing the fragile distance between the man he pretends to be and the one his child is beginning to see.
Through fleeting encounters and small gestures, especially the stones the boy paints and leaves behind. The journey becomes less about escape and more about recognition. Authority erodes, shame surfaces, and love demands a different kind of courage: honesty.
Refusing easy redemption, the film portrays migration not as geography but as emotional dislocation, and masculinity as something that must transform or be lost. In the end, what remains is the painful, necessary grace of letting go.
